Survivors of Suicide Grief Support

Watery Background

Coping After Suicide

This organization is led by my friend Joanne Harpel – she is in NYC. Joanne and I are working together on some projects.  We both lead groups (via zoom) for individuals who have had a loss to suicide.  Let me know if I can make a direct connection.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)

This national organization (main offices in NYC) provides prevention programming as well as grief support work.

Samaritans Inc

Like AFSP, this national organization (main offices in Boston) does prevention work but also grief support work – this one will have more “groups” spread out over the East coast if that is a chosen approach for support.

Alliance of Hope

The alliance provides an informational website, bookstore, blog, and an active online forum. A licensed mental health counselor and a trained team of moderators who are themselves survivors oversee the forum.

Crisis Cares

CC Cares is a program for those newly bereaved by suicide from those who have been there. CC Cares was originally a program started and nurtured by Forefront Suicide Prevention - A Center of Excellence at the University of Washington.
